The Platino Game Engine
Platino and TiSDK
We’re bringing you the industry standard in hardware-accelerated, cross-platform APIs for 2D and 3D graphics. The OpenGL engine is a flexible, powerful low-level interface between software and graphics acceleration, so you get the best performance with the most efficient (i.e. lowest possible) use of resources.
Isometric Tile Engine
Our isometric engine is written entirely in C and optimized for the GPU for the best performance possible. It features direct hardware rendering and occlusion detection for your maps to be rendered at full hardware speed, giving them near real-time interactivity.
Sprite Sheet Support
Our internal sprite sheet engine is optimized for performance and rendering, allowing you to add beautifully animated graphics to your games.
We know you’re too creative for a “one size fits all” approach. You can now create stunning visual effects at hardware speeds by customizing every aspect of your particle emitters using tools such as Particle Designer which export fully compatible particle files.
PhysicsJS module, bundled with Platino 3, provides a rich set of APIs to add realistic physics properties to enhance the overall gaming experience with objects colliding and other physical attributes.
Built natively (yet again!) to give your game that extra “depth” needed to create pseudo-3D effects.
A camera object abstraction creates a “point-of-view” which can be positioned anywhere in the scene, pointing in any direction. Camera position and attitude can be easily changed using simple APIs.
